Ronald Reagan Award to Linda Gritch

On May 8, 2009, Linda Gritch was formally presented with the Queens GOP’s Ronald Reagan Award for service to the Queens County Republican Party. Council Candidate Dan Halloran assisted Chairman Phil Ragusa as he presented the award to Linda Gritch, a District Leader and activist. At the event, former Councilman for the 19th District, Mike Able and Republican candidate for city-wide Public Advocate, Alex Zablocki, met with Executive Vice Chairman Vince Tabone and Queens GOP Candidate Race Coordinator Kimon Thermos to discuss strategy for the upcoming election cycle.

Halloran, who was born and raised in the District, and whose family has been a part of the civic life of the Auburndale-Flushing community for a century, is actively encouraging the development of an outreach component of the GOP, to gain more women, young people, and diverse ethnic groups in the party. Together with Councilman Eric Ulrich, Halloran represents a key component to the future of the Republican Party’s growth and development.
