Taxes and Spending

While not being an alarmist - about 45% of my income is taken away from me - between state, federal, and city taxes - and the host of surrounding taxes (fuel, sales, property, etc.) - I think it is abysmal that I work roughly 50% of my time for other people… with no real say HOW that money is used (and usually wasted).
